Hello, a few years ago I found two vintage fiberglass Knoll Bertoia chairs at a barn sale and paid $4 for both. The chairs were covered in 5 layers of hideous colored paint and decided I wanted to try to refinish them myself. Well, I was able to get most of the paint off and in my opinion ruined any chance of the chairs having monetary value. I would still like to have them finished and use them because they aren?t produced anymore and personally just love the design. My question is where would you suggest I take them to have professionally painted with a clean glossy finish? Where can I find replacement glides too? The original color of my chairs is orange and would like to keep it that color. I am attaching a link to a site that shows what I am talking about. Please give me your opinions on what I should do. Also, if you can give me a ballpark idea how much it is going to cost to have them painted that would be great. Thanks.

Auto Body
An auto body shop can put either a clearcoat or a paint/clearcoat finish on. Should cost you anywhere from 60 - 200$. Post pictures when they're finished 🙂

Thanks
Thank you, I didn't even think of an auto body. I will be sure to post a picture when they are finished.

You can order the feet from Knoll. They aren't that expensive. I had to get some once.
