Hi Designers,
I've created an Application called Build-To-Order(BTO) App. It exist out of 3 parts: BTO Editor, BTO iPad App and BTO Web. A vendor can create products in the BTO editor. Each product can have a 3D Object(DAE file). You can assign a material/color list to it. I've also created a way that you can define a composed product by 1 one or more components. For example you can create a sofa where you can define a valid location where the end of the sofa can be connected. In this way customers or representatives cannot make any mistakes while creating an order. When you are fully finished in the BTO editor you can publish your catalog.
In BTO web you can activate a catalog. You can also go back to an older version of a catalog. When a catalog has been activated it can be downloaded with the BTO iPad App. Here you can view the catalog, create concepts and orders. It is also possible to view your configuration in an augmented reality environment.
With my very limited knowledge of 3D, I would like to have your opinion about the app. Especially about the iPad App. Because I'm not that happy with the 3D navigation or movement of objects. I would like to hear any recommendation or feedback. Just shoot me...
The iPad App is free in the appstore. You can register for free and it will show a default example catalog.
