We have posted ads for the sale of 2 Warren Platner side chairs on this site and other (craigslist, etc.) for $2000 + shipping (2200 with extra fabric), and got an offer for $1500 from a dealer - this is 500 less than we wanted, should we accept or hold out for more? Or try Ebay, where we might get less?

Put
Put them on eBay with a starting price of what you want for them ?
I feel people find this marginally less annoying that a hidden reserve
The dealer must be confident he can sell them to somebody at a good profit, so why shouldn't you ?

Depends if you need to sell...
Depends if you need to sell them ASAP, I sold several items on Ebay that went for way less than actual dealer price. For me it didn't matter, as I needed the room. Again, if you can hold off then wait otherwise maybe finding a consignment shop, ebay or Craigslist. You should also know asking dealer price may not get you a quick sell. Just a thought.
