My Fav desks are in no order of preference are
The Pace Collection Mezzaluna desk
The Roger Sprunger for Dunbar desk with the pencil drawers
The Knoll Partners desk.

Fancy the Nelson next I think (swag leg). Also like the Nelson steelframe desk.

I couldn't figure out the Braakman desk design
but the photo below sheds some light. Not a bad little desk.
Looking at some other desks pictured here: the Knoll Partners pedestal desk & the Nelson swag leg are lovely to look at, who here thinks they'd be comfortable to use for more than five minutes?
Their leg design & placement seems to preclude a crossed-leg sitting position.
If the Nelson desk is 28.5" deep, then the cross bar is bound to interfere with a sitters legs; the Knoll's a bit more forgiving so long as you don't mind kicking the pedestal hundreds of times per day.
All conjecture, since I've never used either desk. But, if you can't sit at a desk comfortably, is it a successful design?
