I just picked up this Fritz Hansen side table which I am very excited about,it`s quite possibly the sexiest little table I have seen.
I hope some of the members can give me more information about it as I have read conflicting litrature regarding this design.
I saw one sell on a Danish website recently, it was described as being designed by H.Engholm & Svend Willamsen for Fritz Hansen in 1958.
I have also seen it in the Taschen publication Decorative Art 50s page 243, as being designed by Fritz Hansen for Raymor USA. The example pictured has black laqueres legs unlike mine.
Also, has anyone seen any sold recently as I would love to know how much it is worth.
Thanks in advance for any contributions.
Treadway
have it down as FH for Raymor too

Thanks for your input...
Thanks for your input Robert. My table definetly differs from the Treadway exhample. The Treadway has a very steep curve on the outside edge of the leg at the top where it meets the tray, the curve is less pronounced on my table.
Its also woth mentioning that the top tray lifts off and the legs have a nicely designed boxy hinge that allows them to be folded together flat.
I can only assume that the tables for Raymor where a differnt design.
Thanks for all your messages...
Thanks for all your messages so far. I have had a chance to clean the table up and give it some TLC making it look much nicer, I think it looks great with this John Clappison vase.
I think my wife is becoming concerned by my behaviour, as I was preparing a meal last night she caught me glancing over at the table every couple of minutes, I just cant take my eyes off it. Is that wrong?

Yes, normal behavior.
If a few beauty items make you feel that way...
cook a meal, appreciate your home and relationships,
very soothing in this tough economic time.
And a good eye i may add. The sexy couch with the table.
(I added your couch photo to my iphoto without asking)
I'm having a couch issue and yours is what i'm looking for.
I hope you don't mind.
I'm not a spender but recently bought a couple things i can scratch
off my 'want' list. (vintage)
I'm preparing a nice meal today on my day off. But I'll be looking over my
shoulder with a grin...
Wegner
According to this Auction house in Germany, the table with the more rounded base, featured on the Treadway website, was actually designed by Wegner.
