I was at an estate sale earlier and found 4 Dux chairs, imported from Denmark. They are the same ones pictured here ( ). These chairs are amazing, but I do not know the value in todays market. Does anyone know the value? Would anyone be interested in them if I bought them?
BUT, the real question I have and am excited about is a desk, made by B. L. Marble Furniture Inc. Bedford. It is a HUGE half circle desk, appears to be Teak, handmade dovetails, it looks amazing! I should have taken a picture of the desk, I only took pictures of the labels.

I can't find ANYTHING online about a desk by B. L. Marble, and this desk is incredible. Does anyone have any info on this desk or know what it might be valued at? It is a huge semi-circle desk, looks like Teak. THANKS!

Erik Kirkegaard. See thread below...and yes, I was kidding about the desk. I'd think the chairs are more valuable, but neither will make a dent in the mortgage or help send the kids to college. Try ebay for value....

Value
Ok, well now that you have all had your fun at my expense, can you enlighten me on the actual facts of this desk? I have searched all over and cannot find any information on B. L. Marble making desks, only chairs. I know that this desk is of very high quality, as are the chairs, but I would like to know some more about it, if anyone knows anything. I have included some better photos. Thanks.

dnroach,The desk looks...
dnroach,
The desk looks well made and the demilune top definitely makes it unique. It also looks like its in fantastic condition. The wood is walnut and the hardware looks like brass. My guess is that its from the early 1950's maybe late 40's.
That said, I dont think its going to be associated with any designer of note.
If I were to place this desk in our shop, I would probably ask between $2000 and $2500 for it. You may ask more or less depending on your geographic location/market and venue.
How much did you pay for it?
@dnroach Did you ever find any more info on the B.L. Marble (or Art Woodwork) desk with the demilune top? I just picked up one like the one in the first picture and was researching its history. Do you still have a picture of the ad you mentioned ? All the old links are dead.
I read that Jens Risom sold Jens Risom Design Inc to Dictaphone in 1970, which also owned B.L. Marble at the time, and they reportedly produced some of his designs in the 70's. And there is another demilune desk attributed to Risom that has some similarities (second picture). I don't know if Risom had anything to do with my desk - I assume not but trying to confirm.
