I recently purchased a daybed from someone who purchased it from design within reach in 2004. Can someone please identify what company produced this for them?

Someone mentioned that it is the same company that produces the daybed for Knoll. How true is this?

Moreover, are there any forum members who have this bed from DWR and can share their experience with its quality over time?

Specifically, does it sag in the middle which is something that I have observed from photographs of both Italian made and Knoll produced day beds?

By 2004, hadn't DWR stopped selling knockoffs?
At that late date, I think DWR was only selling Mies daybeds by Knoll.

Possibly
She said that it was purchased either around 2003 or 2004. I am really just attempting to identify the manufacturer.

I think you got your answer...
I think you got your answer above. The manufacturer is Knoll and DWR carries Knoll.
Is there not a tag on any of the cushions? My Mies Barcelona chairs have Knoll tags attached to the cushions.
Knoll has been putting their tags on cushions since way back in day.
Are you sure the daybed is authentic? Those tags are pretty sturdy and there would be no reason for them to be removed since they're usually tucked away.

No, they hadn't.
Ok, I've answered my own question. In 2004, DWR was still selling knockoffs of Mies' designs; they didn't become a Knoll retailer until June 2005.
So... If your daybed was purchased from DWR in 2004, it was their "Pavilion" knockoff manufactured by an anonymous Italian firm and priced at around $1695.

Question
Overtime, my daybed has developed sagging in the middle. How would I correct it and have other owners of this classic daybed had the same occurence? Blessings

It looks like they just have
Pirelli webbing, which does stretch out over time. If that's all it is, then just have an upholsterer put new webbing on. Most should have it in stock and if not, it is readily available.
