I picked up a Barcelona ottoman this past weekend at a yard sale, and I wondered if it is all Knoll. The cushion has the original Knoll tag and is stamped 1976, but the metal base doesn't have any marking. It looks as if it has been packed away for a long time so I don't think the two pieces would be married. I was wondering if all the bases even back then had the Knoll mark? I'm new to the modern furniture game so any help is necessary. Thanks

the barcelona pieces were never stamped in the metal until very late in the game.
maybe the 80's?
if the tag is knoll it is highly likely the piece is indeed knoll.
as for value.. depends on colour, condition...
do you have any photos?

Thanks for your quick response.
I don't have any photos right on hand, but it is in used condition. There is a stain on one side of the cushion and a couple of the buckles used to attach the cushion to the base are missing. The leather doesn't have any tears or missing buttons. The base just has scratches. I haven't done anything to try to clean it up yet.
