Some lovely watches on display.
This is my favourite, produced by the small Swiss company Jaquet Droz.
My farther purchased this watch from a spiv in Soho in the mid 60's.

I should probably add that my Dad was not some underworld figure creeping around Soho doing shady deals.
He was working in the film industry at the time and this was probably his one and only fraternisation with a criminal.
Just thought I would clear that up.
Nice watch though. ;]

I've never really understood watch collecting.
I bought this watch when I was 16. Aside from the week every ten years that it spends in New York being cleaned, I've worn it every day since.
I can't imagine choosing from multiple watches every day. I mean, I would always have a favorite, and why would I want to wear any watch but that one? Do those of you who collect watches actually wear them all?
[Oh, and by the way... That Jaquet-Droz is beautiful, H.moon]

what is not to like
fastfwd,
Nice watch. What is not to like about a classic Cartier Tank watch with the "old school" deployant clasp. Wear it in good health.

Yes the ProPlof is an awesome chunk of metal. Need to stop looking at watches, I spend enough time on the TZ-UK forum!
