Hello, I am looking for some help in regards to the value of some chairs for insurance purposes, or to possibly sell them.
My wife's grandparents were featured in a Chicago magazine in the 50's for their modern style apartment. Two red, 1947 Eams chairs were featured in the article. She inherited both of these chairs from her grandmother about 13 years ago and we are trying to learn more about them. I have emailed the Eames foundation and while the gentleman was very helpful and did verify that they were from 1947 (the 12 screws on the bottom of the chairs indicate that they are pre-1950), he was not able to give an estimated value. The back has come off of one of the chairs but we have the original pieces to put it back and was able to get it attached enough to stay on for some pictures. Can anybody refer me to cases where comparable pieces have sold? Just trying to get a ballpark idea on the value. Thank you for your time!I will try to attach the pictures but if they don't work, you can check out my whole album of the chair pics here:

Hi
Try searching Wright auctions for previous sales.

Hey there! I may be able to...
The red aniline dye is absolutely lovely and I have a few details that we can go over to check and see whether everything matches up.
Kindly,
David
