I put these up on the forum awhile ago hoping to get some ID for them but came up empty. Now that they have been restored (last photos had an elasticated webbing covering the original caning slots), maybe an identification would be possible. I have seen some Willy Beck chairs that look similar, but they had a more pronounced turn at the top where it joins the back rest. These do have a definite angle there.
I appreciate anybody who can give them a look.
Thanks very much for your reply, Kyle. After checking out some images for Lübke, I can see the similarities in the shape of the stile/back post as you noted.
I just came across this footstool listed on 1st Dibs by a dealer in Malmo which is *only attributed* to Bender and Larsen. It is a mirror image of the cane and chair apron set up, only it's in teak. I'll keep searching.
