unusual Mid century lounge chair identify please?  

Hi all, I recently purchased this rather unusual solid wood (Aformosia I believe?) low lounge chair. Its a large piece with vinyl cushions. There is no makers mark just an impressed stamp number 49 on the underside front bar.

Ive searched tirelessly but can't find anything remotely like it. Its a quality, heavy piece. The cushion covers have Lightning zippers which I think would date it to the 50s-early 70's.

The lady I purchased it from said it belonged to her Mother while in South Africa many moons ago, I have no idea if it was purchased or made there? Mid century south African searches don't bring up much.

I'm a little stumped, do any of you knowledgable folk have any clue on maker?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
