Hello,

I don't suppose anybody recognises this coffee table please?

It is very heavy, possibly solid teak and unfortunately there are no makers marks to be seen but there are some pencil lines underneath to mark up where the base goes.

Perhaps a lone carpenter/cabinet maker rather than a brand or known manufacturer?

Measures approximately 183cm long x 43cm wide x 40cm tall.

Thanks!

Detail photos of joinery and marks please. Weight does not equate with quality.

@mark84. To post more than one photo at a time, just use the edit function, add new image and submit. And so on....

I'd be interested to know what those notches are for on the underside.

I think the ones running along the edge are keeping the side trim/side on and the middle row of slots are for maybe joining the two boards of the top together?

The slots are 'pocket holes' or recesses to allow for screws? Also, it appears to have either been painted and stripped or has spent time outdoors and then been treated with a teak or deck brightening solution. Either way, it does look to be solid teak, overbuilt to a degree and possibly utilitarian in purpose. Perhaps SE Asian in origin? Maybe a bench? Odd one, certainly.

Yeah each pocket hole has a screw in it and we have stripped the table back (which is what you see in the photos) and are in the process of refinishing it.

Someone else mentioned about a possible Asian origin but as you say, odd one. Thanks for the reply!
