Hey y'all, thanks in advance for looking at this. I just got this sofa-- it has no identifiable tags, save what I've included. The seller said it's a Tobia Scarpa for Knoll, but the frame is much thinner than a Bastino. It's got cream wool upholstery and a solid frame, with Fagas straps. Dated 1973.
It's solid and well-made-- I'd love to find out more about it.

Well it is still not rosewood, unless it is a walnut bearing rosewood from a temperate climate.
Possibly your best bet would be to take a multitude of photos showing the underside, frame, hardware, etc, etc, and hope that someone recognizes the a detail that is indicative of a maker.
Mark, "w/e" is an even more blas̩ of saying "whatever." I find it very useful. I've also attached a photo of Cat #2, who matches Cat #1, on the new misidentified sofa.
Here are some more details on the sofa-- I think this is a serious caveat emptor for me to research/sit in/ photograph items BEFORE I buy them... Def not rosewood, and def not Knoll. I think I still love it.
I'm nervous about cleaning the upholstery but my handsome cats need appropriately handsome seating.
