This appears well made, but I cannot recall who designed legs like these. Thanks

With those square-tapered legs my first thought was Severin Hansen, but the details look more like this desk by Riis- Antonsen.

@andersen. One of our Illustrious members @drpoulet has an Instagram page with Danish makers marks/stamps/labels and a short history, where available, on each manufacturer and their designers.

Link to the page for the above maker, which I am hoping the administrators will allow !

@lexi thanks for posting the link, which however I can't access as I'm not on instagram.

@andersen. Do you know anyone who is? Hopefully @drpoulet notices the bat signal and has the time to post the information himself ; I feel it would be discourteous to copy and paste it here without his permission.

@lexi  Thanks for the link - that's interesting info on Riis-Antonsen.  While searching the name I noticed this secretary desk comes up a number of times.  For some reason, sellers list it as designed by Riis-Antonsen and made by Borge Hansen.  They all apparently have a Riis-Antonsen mark on the back.  I've no idea how the name Borge Hansen got attached to this desk.

Hi everyone!

Riis-Antonsens møbelfabrik was established in 1895 in Aabenraa, Denmark. It is named after its owner  Marinus Riis-Antonsen.
Not much info is available on them but we know that Willy Beck was an apprentice there and that Borge Lerche, previous owner of Tarm Stole og Møbelfabrik.

@mark737 indeed it is very odd. The stamp on the back is the one of manufacturer Riis-Antonsen and I have never heard of a maker named Børge Hansen. The only Borge Hansen I could find is a previous owner of Stouby.
Sometimes it is enough that one person invent something for the whole internet to follow 🙂

Just to add to the Riis-Antonsen info, I personally own this rosewood chest they made. The one on the left is from an auction site and mine is on the right.  The top is hinged and there was originally a mirror mounted on the underside that I need to replace.  I found this in the same Goodwill thrift shop where a woman bought a 1st Century Roman bust for $35, a story that made national news recently.
