Hi all,

Just bought this table on eBay.
It is a camping table, made of teak I guess (the seller claims it is rosewood) with a black top (Formica, lineoleum, paint?)

The seller says he bought it in Copenhagen, Denmark. He is in north Germany so I have no reasons to doubt plus it really look Danish.

Needless to say that it is unmarked. Do you have any clue who designed/made this beauty?

thanks a lot for any hint!

I have just received the table today. What I thought was a camping table is actually a side table. I should more carefully read the dimensions next time... !

Anyway, it is very well made and I find it absolutely beautiful (but I love tubular steel + teak). The feet are solid rosewood and the table is teak and laminate.

As expected it arrived unmarked but a small miracle happened. After oiling the underside of the table, a stamp appeared. It is a table by KT which stands for Kristensen og Thomassen.
Mystery solved and probably not designed by anyone famous.

I saw the company dissolved in 2000 so there is probably a way to track a previous owner. I will try to find the designer’s name, just for fun.

Dr P, would you mind posting a photo of the stamp? I have found three different KT stamps (all with the model number next to it), and am curious if yours is one of them or a 4th style. Thanks.

By the way, I found that Knud Kristensen was listed as designer for some pieces.  Not sure if he was actually a designer, or a factory owner who took credit for in-house designers.

Hi @cdsilva

Here is a picture of the stamp. As I said previously, it is pretty much faded. The K and T are readable but it seems there is more.

I also found the name Jorgen Pedersen.
