Hi.
I'm thinking that a poster on this forum (espert) named Aaron (tiniarmada..or something like that from Charlston, West Virginia) should take a few seconds to help solve your mystery...or not. He's an espert! And thank you.
Most,
Aunt Mark
(Edit) I meant to type expert. And he just might be that. Best of luck.
I am by no means an expert on Aalto, but I have never seen that leg configuration on any of his pieces, that I have seen before. I have seen a Thonet table with natural birch top and that leg configuration before, however. That is not to say that it is Thonet, because I have seen them put out more than one piece that looked close enough to Aalto that I am sure Alvar was cursing under his breath.
The thing to check is how the legs were bent. All of Aalto's stools used a patented technique that involved kerfing the joint prior to bending. If you look right where the joint is you can see layers of the birch ply stop in a staggered pattern, just past the bend. I expect the table would be no different.
Of course, if you dont have access to the table to look at it up close, then nothing in this response is helpful....
