Hello! I live in an urban row home in a neighborhood where these built in were once typical, but many have been removed. It was a main selling feature for us, but I've struggled to learn more about it. I'm hoping to gain some insight into the design style (if it does, indeed, match a style) to help find inspiration for decorating around it. Thanks in advance! Will add a few more close up photos in comments.

Ah, thanks for the nudge! Original attachment was too large, but should work now!
Late Victorian Aesthetic Movement (1860-1880's). Commonly referred to as "Eastlake" in the US.
This type of cabinetry was often custom ordered through catalogs available to home builders at the time.
@chelspea, You're welcome!
Impressive size and appears as either walnut or aged cherry, both common species used for this style. If in a bedroom, I might call it a combination armoire/washstand.
