Hello, I was hoping someone here could help me identifying this sofa and chairs. I am an upholsterer and this is my next project, the pieces have been upholstered before and not quite the correct way, I would really like to know how this originally looked. I’m from Iceland and there were a lot of furniture made here but not as many designed here. It was mostly “borrowed” from Danish and Norwegian designers. Does this set look familiar to any of you?

@Sigurros

Do you know Wegner's Papa Bear chair? Seems someone once saw the Bear chair and thought, hey, not bad, I'm going to build something like this too.

@sigurros. Sorry, cannot help you with the sofa and chair. However, I am intrigued by the blue chair in the background! Could you post a picture of this chair on it's own just to satisfy my curiosity? Only if it is not too much trouble or inconvenient for you to do this. Thanks.

I have the photo I was sent by my client, It is the Oda chair, right? I read the thread here about the chair, exciting stuff!

@sigurros. Thank you for sharing this photo. That is what I was hoping it would be.It certainly looks like it

Tagging @herringbone who will be excited to see it and will confirm if it is the "Oda" chair. It certainly looks like the sketch for model 9 that the Schubell family provided

Ha! Yes, it’s the Oda and probably a Danish one. Nice! But the other two ... I will look around.

Thanks all for looking into this for me. I’ll do my best to get this set to look a bit better.

The Oda chair was bought in Denmark some 60 years ago I’m told.

@sigurros. I have searched through a lot of the images on the linked site below, because I feel your sofa and chair are more  Norwegian in style; either made there or inspired by their designs.

Thousands of images and so far nothing exactly like yours..... or you could post an ID request on this Facebook Forum.

It is a public group so anyone can join. Some very knowledgeable and helpful people on that Forum. Maybe they can help. Worth a try.

@Sigurros and @lexi

The Ikea catalogs from the 50s are also interesting, some sofas are very similar. Attached the link to all catalogs from 1950 onwards.
