I have acquired these beautiful modern mid-century teak armchairs. There is no signature plate, nor are they numbered, therefore I believe they are simply 'very strong Sigvard Bernadotte - influenced. They are so close in style, except the arms of my chairs are convex as opposed to those of the Bernadotte chairs that I've found through research, which are somewhat concave or flatter. In addition the back does not swivel up (though I do not know if that is relevant with that model) , nor does it have the 'ball type' screws behind the back. The seat and back are attached with screws which are inset/ buried, underneath and behind the back frame. The structure seams to be put together with wooden dowels. (as you can see where it is slightly separated, in the photo of the back of the chair - I've left it as is to show) I've included 3 photos of my chair as well as 1 of the Sigvard Bernadotte design.
Should I assume lack of signature plate means they are just replicas? Does anyone know who was producing these replicas (likely in Canada - I am in Montreal). OR....Could they be another Scandinavian designer?
