Hi all,

I Recently acquired, restored and photographed this Desk and Chair.

I’ve been researching quite a bit and have also been asking fellow dealers and others on mid century groups as well but have been unable to identify it’s origin, designer or maker.

I could see some similarities in the overall feel of the desk to Sergio Rodriguez and the chair reminds me of some Pierre Chapo vibes.  But I just cant seem to nail anything down.

If you all or someone you know may have some insight, please let me know.

I also have many more photos of this desk and chair.  But it would only allow me to upload 1 initially.

Thank you! 🙏

Post the additional close up photos, either one by one in comments or edit your post to add one more at a time 👍🏼👍🏼

Great looking pair! Hopefully someone on here will have an idea 👍🏼👍🏼 If there are more pics of the construction details they’d be great to see.

Post a whole bunch more photos.  I would especially like to see photos of the undersides and more of that drawer from all angles. It appears to be a rosewood and that starts to suggest a non-European origin.

I’ve uploaded some more now.  It appears that it won’t allow me to upload anymore by editing original post nor by adding a new reply.

So hopefully those additional pics help some.

Also, some potentially helpful info: When I acquired this from the lady whose English was pretty broken, she said it was “Cherry Wood”...

So based on the potential Brazilian origin I did some research on “Brazilian Cherry” And Lo and behold i think it very well may be that.  I initially thought some sort of rosewood as well.  But it just didn’t seem to match up with other rosewood mid century pieces I’ve had before (including some Brazilian rosewood pieces).

Thanks so much for those who have chimed in so far.  I so appreciate the help.  I’d love to find out who may have designed or made these exquisite pieces.

i have plenty of additional photos on top of what I’ve  posted So far, but it won’t allow me to post anymore on this thread for some reason.

All the best and look forward to hearing from you guys again!
