I need help to identify this chair bought in Australia.

It is well made with nice wool fabric and teak and maybe Danish oak. I can't find any makers mark on it.

The back is cantilevered from the base and is not connected to the armrest.

The only similar chair I can find on google is by Louis van Teeffelen but this has differences.

Thanks in advance.

@jbjonboy. Found the same chair as yours on an Italian selling platform in teak and oak. They say it is Danish but show no makers mark or label. ( pic 1 )

I do not recognise it .

Also came across another site (in India) with the same chairs in ash. Made to order, so new.  ( pic 2 )

Sorry I have no other info.

Australian retailer Matt Blatt also sold this version a few years back, which is obviously different but has a similar frame.  It looks like they called it the "Flynton" armchair.

A  dealer in Denmark ,who buys, sells etc mostly Danish furniture has one of these for sale. Different wood to the OP's ( or just patinated" oak ) but same striped top cushion and shape to the "wings".

@jbjonboy . Unfortunately Forum rules prohibit links to selling sites or items for sale.

Link for chair 😉 . http://teakogpalisanderpriser.dk/dagligstuemoebler/#jp-carousel-984.

That's the one, thanks for searching. I'll ask them if they have the name of the designer.

Thanks for that info.

It looks like the only difference is the height and shape of the back.

I googled 'Flynton' but can't find if it refers to a designer or style or what.

I know Matt Blatt sell a lot of cheap copies of original classics.

Yes, the Matt Blatt version looks to be a knock off of whatever the original one was.  Wayfair was selling this one, called a "Franz" armchair.  Seems to be a popular style to knock off.

Paw from Handelshuset told me the designer of that similar chair was Arne Hovmand-Olsen and from other chairs he has designed I think this is one of his also.

Lauritz sold the one in first photo back in 2013 and attributed it to Johannes Andersen but showed no mark or reference. Also found a couple of others, one in Sweden and one in France,  that appear to have same frames.  Both just listed as "Danish" with no marks or references.   I didn't see anything similar attributed to Hovmand-Olsen.
