Good day everyone,
My first topic in this forum, on this site
Im looking for identification of a light i own, which i think is an early 1920/30's sample of Bauhaus
Based on its build, its patina and the parts used i tend to believe this model is pre 1940's
I would really appreciate your help in identifying the designer and manufacturer. Thanks in advance!
@deslvr. Welcome to the Forum.
Your lamp was designed by Chritian Dell and made by Kaiser Idell. circa 1950's
The FEW examples I have found say it is model 6775. Have not been able to find vintage documentation to support this information but is a starting point for your own research.
By the way " BAUHAUS" was a design movement/concept between the 2 world wars and started in Germany.

@deslvr. An image from Pinterest; ( Sorry poor quality) Your lamp, as far as I can tell, is in the 2nd set of lamps. Unfortunately if you enlarge the pic the model number etc just blurs. The person who posted says it is from 1955

some background info on dell and kaiser in this informative website

@wesemael. That website is great.I have found so much information there over the last few years.
Another great site for German lighting manufacturers. Arranged alphabetically.
