Knoll and Parker Knoll had a lawsuit in the 1960s, which may be when Knoll International was entering the market, over name confusion. Has the tulip ever been made in England by Knoll International?

Burke, definitely possible.

Hi Norman, thanks for the reply.

Indeed - I've not found any knoll made in the uk in my google searches.

Also the seller has gotten back to me with height dimension, and it's only 705mm tall... so probably not a Knoll.

Arkana made tulip tables in England I believe, and they are quite good.

They might be attributed to Maurice Burke, which adds to the general confusion -

not the Burke from Dallas Texas.

Hi Stig,

thanks for your reply. It would make sense that it would be an Arkana.

I might go for it as I need the table sooner rather than later, but I just can't bring myself to buy full (trade) price Knoll and it might be a while before a right size/right material second hand Knoll one turns up on eBay/etc... Though I do need to check that the height difference isn't going to make it uncomfortable to sit at.

Do you have any idea what would be a reasonable max price for an old Arkana + 8 chairs? I'm in the UK though, that might affect going rates.

Thanks a lot in any case.
