Wow. With radiused edges like so, that's got to be some thick veneer on the top. Either that or a solid strip was laid in before easing the edges. Nice fit on the drawers, too. A well-constructed piece for sure. Almost seems strange to see exposed hardware securing the divider insert on the front, though. Maybe an optional add-on? And, FWIW, I wouldn't call it a "sleigh" base.
That is a nice one. And the drawer fronts on it are solid teak, which is even nice.
tktoo: the Danes often constructed case pieces with a 45 degree angle spline along the corner. And there was a 1/4 square hollow left at the outside corner for a strip of solid wood that functioned like edge banding, protecting the corner edges of the case.
This is a very nicely made desk.
