Hello- I have 2 aluminum bases and was wondering if they are HM?  They have a width of 27 1/2" across the diagonal arms.  Are these chair or table bases?

@rosewood, They look legit to me. At 27" wide, I'd assume they are table bases. If the posts are original to the bases, you might be able to confirm whether for dining or coffee table height by adding combined heights of floor glides, top spider and top.

Thanks @tktoo2!  I don't have the spider bases- just the bottom tubes. Assembled without glides, they measure 17 1/2" tall.  So with glides, spider & top surface it would be too tall for cofffee table I'm guessing. But do spiders have tubes long enough to get to the usual  29-30" for dining table?

@rosewood, Hmmm... Maybe I'm mistaken and they were for chairs. Pretty sure there were 2 sizes of 4-leg Aluminum Group Contract bases that were close in size with the larger used for larger tabletops and even some lounge chairs if memory serves. I don't think I've ever seen vintage table posts that weren't painted, either, but there were so many various models with these bases offered by HM over so many years that I'm sure there are rarer or custom-ordered examples out there.
