Hello,
I was hoping to get some help in identifying this chair. This seller has a very similar one that he attributes to Yngve Ekstrom for Pastoe, however I cannot find any evidence/information on this. Please let me know what you think.
Thank you!
@havertz. Hi; Could you post a few more photos of your chair? side views, views of the underside, from the back etc.
Does your chair have a reclining mechanism?
There are a lot of these style chairs , especially Swedish designed ones and the subtle differences in shape of the wooden frame or legs can provide a lot of information. I do have an idea but would need to see more pics. Thanks.

Hi, I have asked for additional photos. It does have a reclining mechanism. Do you think the 1st dibs seller correctly identified theirs? Thanks
Lexi's idea is most probably the model "Mingo" by Yngwe Ekström, but as she says, we need more photos.
@havertz. A side view would give a lot of information; however at this point in time I would say it looks like a Folke Ohlsson chair for Dux. The one thing that is bothering me though is the seat shape, but this may have been a later re- upholstery job?
Edit; on reflection Alf Svensson is a more likely contender for designer.

Thank you. Although I can only find the Mingo chair made by Swedese, not Pastoe as that seller identified. Also none of the Mingo chairs I've seen have a reclining mechanism...

Thank you, this makes a lot more sense. I think it was reupholstered because they have a matching blue leather sofa.

@havertz. Thanks for posting those.
Chair is made by Dux. Most probably designed by Alf Svensson as part of the Contour series, but some sources say Folke Ohlsson.
There appears to be very few catalogues for Dux. All I have come across are catalogues/brochures or print adverts and generally not for this chair. Plenty pop up for sale though, but all you will find is a Dux label or burn mark; no mention of designer.
