Hello. I would like help authenticating this womb chair. I reached out to Knoll USA customer service because I am wanting to purchase a matching ottoman, and they identified the fabric as their Knoll Boucle fabric. They sent me a sample and it matches perfectly.
My concern about the chair is that their is no Knoll label attached to the bottom (yes, I know someone could have removed it) and that the height dimension is slightly off from the dimensions listed on the Knoll website. This chair measures a height of 37 inches, as opposed to the Knoll dimensions of 35.5. After a lot of internet research, I was able to locate a few supposed Knoll womb chairs that list a height of 37 inches, but I am still not convinced.
I would like to be assured it is an authentic Knoll piece, especially before I order the matching ottoman. Are there replica brands that would have access to the same fabrics that Knoll uses? I would greatly appreciate any input you all could share with me.
Thank you.
I am not sure how to add multiple photos, but will be happy to show more.

Knoll Textiles is not exclusive to Knoll designed furniture. It is available for any projects both contract or residential customers since it was founded by Florence Knoll in 1947.
Without seeing an image, is it possible that this chair without the Knoll label was reupholstered by someone in one of Knoll's standard textile upholstery choices? I have several Knoll chairs that were legitimately reupholstered by Citron Upholstery Inc. in Colds Springs, NY and even those were properly labeled even with the absence of the original Knoll tags. I believe that company was Knoll's official upholstery contractor when it was in business and they must have access to Knoll's replacement formed foam/padding that ther rehab job looks like just the originals.
Unfortunately, Saarinen's iconic Womb chair is one of those design classics that have been widely copied/knockoff in the last 20+ years when mid century modernism went mainstream.
Thank you minimoma. I had considered that. I sent photos to Knoll when I was trying to identify the color and they did not express any concern about the barcode sticker on the metal or the looks of the chair in the images, but I have not tried to speak with them about the height difference.
I am still not able to load any photos and do not know why.
Anyone have any hints about loading photos? I choose file and attach the image, and it appears to be loading, but no images ever appear.
So god made the duck and it looks like a duck and god themself told you that it was a duck and yet you still do not believe that it is a duck? Maybe the devil took the feathers from a real duck and put them over a non-real duck skeleton and god did not even notice? How likely is that to have happened?
