hello
can anyone please help me ID this chair and give a hint on what it could be worth ? I am thinking of buying it.
It is supposed to be scandinavian design and from the 60's
It has a "YUGOSLAVIA" marking on the bottom
any guesses ?

My guess it is from YUGOSLAVIA? 🙂 Danish inspired not worth much. Probably stained beech.

Not much of an appraisal site
Sorry Frenchy but you'll have to look elsewhere for a value. Try finding a similar one on eBay. There are lots of them. But I would guess that it is worth exactly whatever you pay for it.

the world of chairs
OK I'm a newbie in your world of chairs and I'm just reading about the whole Yugoslavian knockoffs of danish design thing.
So basically the chair has no particular value but the seller won't let it go for what I proposed.
thanks for your help so far !

Without cushions,
I'd expect to see a price of not much more than $100 for the frame, and that's only because this type of lounge chair is really hot with the kind of people who like Apartment Therapy (trendy, mostly) right now. In a year or two or three, when this trend has passed, its value will be lower. The value of a Danish design in the same style will not drop nearly as much, if at all.
(That said, I once saw a pair of these go for $800, if I remember correctly. And they weren't even as nice as this one.)
