Just looking to find out any information on this wall unit. I can see where the rectangular label has fallen off but can't seem to find any information on the piece. Through my own research I have found one reference to a similar piece only described as a "Danish Wall Unit". Just wondering if anyone knows the designer or manufacturer.

Thanks!

Looks like Founders to me but I've been wrong before. I had a couple of Founders cabinets once. I like them.

@spanky Thats exactly what I was thinking, but again only found with the cane doors and the trim and handles on the door were completely different. Thanks for your help!

Not that me piling on here helps any, but definitely Founders. Besides the things Spanky and Leif pointed out, the edge banding on the front edges also matches the profile of other pieces I have seen from this series (I have the tall boy, low boy, and dresser in my bedroom right now).

All credible information I have ever seen on this particular line of Founders Furniture, points towards Jack Cartwright as the designer.

I looked at a lot of Founders pieces online and they used a bunch of different style pulls so I wouldn't worry about that too much. The ones that I owned had small round black knobs on the drawers---just found a photo online of them with original tags. I saw several other marked examples with other style pulls.

There is another board with more pieces similar, https://www.designaddict.com/forum/Identification/Mid-Century-Danish-Made...

I realize that this thread is a few years old, but I recently purchased a very similar wall unit that I also believe to be a founders.  It came with 7 cabinets, three uprights, no shelves and unfortunately no hardware to hang the cabinets. Does anyone have a picture of what the hanging brackets for the cabinets look like?

Thanks!

It looks like Founders used a few different types of uprights,  but if you have the wood uprights with the holes like the one pictured in this thread, it looks like the cabinets attached with the metal pins or bolts shown here.

Here are links to where you can find these images:

My system does have wood uprights, however based upon the location of the holes inside the cabinets I don’t think straight pins like that would work. I think my system requires hardware similar to the attached pictures. Can anyone confirm this?
