Hi- Has anyone ever seen a chair like this before? It is very similar to the Arne Vodder for Vamo Sønderborg dining chair, but it has a full back. There are two points where the back is joined to the sides in a fixed position- no pivot. The upholstery is not original, and not well done, and I even wonder if the chair back has been modified at some point although I feel nothing fishy with the frame from the outside. I have two of these like this, and with much research am unable to find a match. Upholstery covers any ID marks underneath. Wood looks like teak. So curious, please help!

It is the lounge chair Model 6 designed by Arne Vodder for Vamo Mobelfabrik.
It was never designed with a pivoting backrest so not to worry, it hasn't been modified.
Lovely chair.

Thanks! Maybe I'm an idiot,...
Thanks! Maybe I'm an idiot, but this chair has a fixed and covered upholstered back, different from photos I've seen of the Model 6 with the removable backrest cushion. This doesn't look like the same chair in that detail....

It's essentialy the same chair just a slight variation on the design.
I have seen this design with the spindle back and loose cushion and a variation with a smaller fully upholstered backrest which does not join up to the seat area.
It's an Arne Vodder chair.

no small gap
Thanks so much for your response. There's just one last detail that I am curious about- have you ever seen a Vodder Model 6 like this where the backrest does fully join up to the seat area? There is no small gap on this chair. Thanks!!
