Thanks for sharing. Interesting video about five misattributions. Included are works attributed in error to Jean Prouve, Charlotte Perriand, Eileen Gray, Ib Kofod-Larsen and Swedish designer Axel Einar Hjorth. The last one is especially interesting - this tabouret (stool) attributed to Hjorth from the 30's that has sold for as much as $41K for a pair. But it was recently discovered these were actually made in the 70's by an obscure Swedish maker K.J. Pettersen. Buyer beware.
Yeah, Sanna and Andreas who go under the name scandinaviandesign101 are among the most knowledgeble, nerdy and prolific experts for modern furniture design on the internet. They release a new video every week and it's certainly not a waste of time to binge watch all of them. Especially if your interested in Swedish furniture design, their going quite deep into the matter, but they will also teach you about how to tell the difference between Poul Henningsen's lamps.
"People buy a chair, and they don't really care who designed it." (Arne Jacobsen)
Yes, it's lovely to finally have a YouTube channel to subscribe to, that tells us about this stuff that we love on the regular.
I'm specifically grateful to them, as they started podcasts initially in Swedish and now their YouTube channel is predominantly in English. I wouldn't like to assume that doing the video productions they do, in a second language is a thing of ease.
