Need help identifying vintage lamp / lampshade material

i found this vintage designer lamp in a thrift store. The lampshade is made of a some weird plastic-cloth material, like a really dense, thick and glossy spiderweb. It's slightly damaged in one spot and i would like to repair it, if possible. does anybody know what this material is called and/or what kind of lamp it is?

Good evening,

These type of lamps/lampshades are generally known as " cocoon".

They were made by a lot of different companies/designers, most notably George Nelson and Flos.

They were also made in Germany by Goldkant leuchten (Wuppertal).

I can't help on what the material is,but the link below is interesting especially the video at the end.
