Hey Forum. Recently have been doing some renovation work on a building built in in the 1960s here in Saginaw, MI. Going up the stairs there is a really cool MCM chandelier that has a perforated aluminum bottom shade, and a threaded glass top shade (Pictures attached), well one of the contractors was moving a ladder and broke one of the glass shades you can see the broken shade in the first picture, the second picture is one of the non broken shades.

The shade is 8.5 inches tall, 5.5 inches in diameter at the widest part, and 2 inch diameter on the threaded end.I was hoping someone here could help identify the chandelier, and if they knew of a good outlet to find a replacement shade. Thank you in advance!

That is a total drag!

Any chance that you saved the broken pieces of glass? I've seen some amazing repairs. If not, shop for 6 replacement globes.

Best,

Aunt Mark

Well need the replacements be white glass?

?,

Aunt Mark

ps you can always remove the remaining globes (shame..) and go with a sweet lightbulb. But don't give up. The fixture is quite lovely.

pss. or you could just ignore the broken piece...and chalk it up to being part of the pieces history. I'm broken.

Thanks for the suggestions. Unfortunately our customer would like it as original as possible. Looks like my first picture may have been deleted? Will repost below.

A glassblower with a complete studio might be able to make you a reasonable facsimile. The piece appears to have been mold-blown and a precise mold can be made from an intact original. All this comes at a price, of course...

Cool chandelier, BTW.
