I see that it is a dovetailed case.  That is interesting. What does the back look like? What do the side of the drawers look like and the drawer slides inside the case?

Yeah, like I was saying, all of the construction is solid wood (and not like a guy on Craigslist saying “all solid wood!”). The drawers are solid planks of wood that have glides routed out (the bottom drawer, also solid, has delicate finger jointing at the back corners). The back and bottom are also solid rosewood.

The interior rails are basic. This is mage also shows some of the more of the joinery for the case. Thanks again for the generous interest, expertise, and sleuthing!

No helpful info from me, just a comment that I like the design a lot. It has a nice combination of organic carved and modern minimalism.

It does very much emit a '70's American studio craft movement vibe. Lots of machine and practiced handwork there. Does it smell like either an old hippie or Cali mid-coast homegrown ...or maybe both?

Are the interior rails attached with screws?  What head? Did the maker allow for wood movement say with a slotted hole at the rear of the rails?

That thing must weight so much.

If you'd just shown me a photo I'd have to say the back was veneered, because it's a really wide plank of rosewood. Rarely see that! Having said that I am assuming those measurements are inches rather than cm, is that correct?

It weighs 45 lbs. Yup, it’s in inches. The screws are slothead.
