Hello all! I am new to the forum. What an amazing resource. Just spent an hour reading through threads and have gained so much knowledge. Thank you to all who generously give of their time and expertise to help us newbies who are just getting started.

I found this great wall unit by Erik Jensen on Craigslist and did the restoration myself. I actually sort of acquired it y accident because I was buying a rosewood bed by Dyrlund Smith (I included a photo of the headboard) and the seller had it as a requirement to by both pieces. Long story short I was planning to resell it but now that I have restored it I have really fallen in love with it and plan to keep it 🙂

I have attached the before and after photos.

Two questions if I may. The stamp on the back lists the furniture maker as Erik Jensen. I can't seem to find much about the designer other than a few posts for some of his credenzas on 1st dibs. I have found information on Niels Erik Glasdam Jensen. Are these two different designers?

If I do plan to try to resell it in the future what would be a reasonable value that I could charge for it? My main concern right now is that it is quite large from my 1 bedroom unit so it might end up making me feel a little crowded which would not be very hygge! 🙂

Thanks in advance for any help!

Cheers from DC,

Seb

I just did a quick search for "Erik Jensen rosewood wall unit" (without quotes) and got at least a page of results for sideboards and some chests of drawers. At least one listing had the name Westergaards M

Even though I don't know who Niels Jensen is, we can be sure that he was not Niels Erik Glasdam Jensen.

It would be quite unusual to have the name Niels Jensen stamped on the piece if it were made by a company that was not something like Niels Jensens M
