Hi folks,
i bought a couple of teak chairs from what I thought would be Niels Møller chairs, number 78. The seller wasn’t sure but offered them as Møller chairs. Now I got a pair by post and it seems they are not Møller #78, despite they are very alike, there are some very obvious details which are different. Are there some specialists on Møller who could say for sure? I have a little hope that they could be Møller, but a kind of a previous version.
Many thanks in advance for any help.
Hi, your doubts are justified, it's not Niels Møller. It's very similar, but in details different. No idea if there was a previous version, feel free to contact J.L. Møller. http://www.jlm.dk/
To compare the details:

The J.L. Møller stamp is on the inside of the side frame, not visible at the version with fabric cover, take off the cover underneath the seat and you will see the stamp if it does exist.
Interesting thread from 2017 with lots of pictures and many experts weighing in

Agreed that the chair by the OP is nothing to do with Moller but also the same for the chair in the old designaddict link from 2017.
The consensus in 2017 was that it was legit. I've handled and re-woven so many original chairs now that it is clear the chair is an absolute wrong'un. Everything about it is off, particularly when you study the shape of the 'horned' tips on the front legs.
