Dear all,

I am having difficulty in getting an ID on an interesting mid century open armchair (late 50's - late 60's) and I would be grateful if anyone can help.

Teak construction, upholstered backs and drop in seats, supported by a row of springs.

In some respects these look like they could be British but at another glance could just as well be by a top Danish name. They are very comfy and the styling of the back support and arms is super.

I can't see any other examples of this design online.......

Any thoughts gratefully received.

With thanks,

Matt.

Wow. Nice.

I wouldn't mind seeing more details, especially of the wood construction and those springs.

Good morning AMF,

You are spot on! Thank you very much.

I have a pair of these chairs. The seat infill is a combination of foam and horse hair, as are, I suspect, the back supports. All original at present but they could do with reupholstering.....

Glad you like them cdsilva.

Thanks again for your comment and help.

Matt.
