I have this beautiful rosewood flip top table with this logo. Anyone recognize the logo?

Thanks so much! 😊

@aloma : could you post a photo of the table?

I have seen that "stamp" before. May have been on this Forum, but a good few years ago.

@aloma This may be a good question for @cdsilva.

That is the logo of a top Copenhagen cabinetmaker, Christensen and Larsen. They often participated in the annual guild exhibition, with Ib Kofod Larsen as their primary designer. I would like to see a photo of that table as well. It is most likely an uncommon piece.

Interesting. Now that you mention it, I clearly see the C and L and probably can never unsee it. Funny, how the brain works.

Photo also happens to be a good detail shot of "African mahogany" veneer sliced to show "ribbon-stripe" grain figure. Often used as "counter-veneer" on unseen (under and back) sides of teak and rosewood veneered panels on vintage Danish pieces as a less expensive alternative to premium imported species.

@tktoo Nice info! I thought it was just teak, which of course had me wondering about the rosewood table.

Thank you so much every one! Yes, I saw online that someone had written attributed to Ib Kofod Larsen, but couldn't find any documentation, and I haven't seen this logo before! Here's a photo of the table. Very large with gorgeous brass hardware

@aloma. Lovely table. The "flip top" design makes the table very versatile.

At some point in the 70"s my parents bought a 2nd hand flip top table ,in beech, if I remember correctly.

It was passed down to me in 1990. Worked very well in my small kitchen/breakfastroom.

Looks like model CL 108, according to the DFI.

And it appears to be entered into the database twice, once opened and once closed.

at a glance, I could not find it in the Grete Jalk books.
