Laurel biomorphic mid century desk lamp...designer?  

Howdy, folks!

Here's another treasure find from the local Goodwill. From my research, it appears to be a Laurel biomorphic mid century desk lamp. A fairly rare lamp from Laurel, as far as I can tell.

I was wondering if any of you knew who the designer was for this specific piece? I was only able to find 'Laurel biomorphic mid century desk lamp' for this style online. I'm hoping the designer is perhaps Gio Ponti? I saw another Laurel lamp with the same wood 'finial' design at the top that was designed by Ponti.

Also, of course, if anyone has additional info on this lamp that would be wonderful! Year made, name of model, rarity.
