@lexi The lamp seems to be well made but is not all that interesting, design-wise. I just know I've seen that logo before and I can't recall the name. Thanks.
@mark737. First off, I have not seen this logo before.
So lets try narrow down the search;- Is the lamp heavy? As in the metal parts are solid?.
Is the piece in-between,at the top, glass , acrylic, plexi glass?
What type of bulb does it take?
This style of lamp is usually called a "bankers" lamp and has a similar style to the lamps by Robert Sonneman.
Is the wiring original ? It looks like the tansparent type which to me means a more recent production.
Is the on/off switch "in-line" or is it taht middle knob on the base ?
Seems like a lot of questions but, believe me when I say, every little detail helps when doing research on lamps!!
Labels fall off, especially on lamps. Very few sellers show labels, even if they are present.
I spent hours once, trying to identify a very unusual lamp and it all came down to the connecting hardware for the lampshade!!! On the plus side I learnt a lot (while enjoying a glass of wine or two while searching) about mid century lighting, mostly European.
Sorry, I digress , but very often it is the little details that can lead to an ID.

@lexi The lamp is pretty heavy and the rotary on/off dimmer switch is smooth, so it feels like a decent lamp. The center piece is a plastic of some sort, acrylic I imagine. The cord is clear material so I agree it's probably from the 80's or later.
Okay, I figured it out. The logo belongs to Lite Source Inc. a California company started in 1983 that imports Chinese made lamps and sells them at just about every retail outlet in the US, so obviously nothing special. For some reason I thought I had seen this logo on an Italian lamp.
