Hi,
I recently saw a set of chairs with old Vitra and GS labels on the bottom. I've never seen this model before - the frame and general concept of the shape is very similar to Visavis chair by Antonio Citterio, but the upholstery, the shape of the back and the armrests are completly different from original - they look cheap.
Does anybody know this model? Is it possible that the chair and the labels are fake?
thanks
It's unfortunate that you feel they look cheap, the chairs just don't belong in that room where they were photographed. These are the 'Onda' chairs designed by Mario Bellini in 1989 and if I remember right, they stack too.
The rug might be a fake, but I have to look at the edges, the fringes and the back to confirm.
Two months ago, I experienced the same situation like yours. I did not find this chair worth buying but after a month, I bought one more chair which looks quite similar to the vitra chair and I think its damn worth buying. I bought this chair from Office Visitor Chair.
