I do not know about the chair, but I like the idea that the forum here is a repository and and item you're asking about will have already been discussed and ideally identified. Someone may find an attribution in 4 years, and then the next person who finds this rocker will be forwarded to it!

In that sense though, it's important that the community is active because the memory to link to old threads is somewhat crowdsourced.

I guess that's a long winded way of saying that's why I post a lot of items I don't know. They've been recorded in some sense that way!
