Identifying wooden TV stand/storage bench  

Hello! I'm trying to identify this piece of furniture that we've been using as a TV stand.. 

I'm no expert, but I think it was bought by my partner's family in the 1990s or 2000s, and the style seems to be similar to stuff that was in Habitat/Heals at that sort of time. 

It's similar in style to this range - https://upinteriors.com/object/matera-bed-with-storage-by-sean-yoo/ - but the joining is glued together. That said it's very sturdy and well-made so I think could be from a designer but it's so hard to know!

Would really appreciate anyone's input as I am truly out of my depth trying to work out where/when this is from!
