Well I might be wrong but I have asked a Braakman specialist to confirm the attribution since I wanted to know which variation of the model was the original one and he told me that Braakman never designed such a piece.
Unfortunatly, I don't know more but these are pretty common and very easy to find (at least in France) which is not the case with other Braakman pieces. I have also seen some of these that were marked "made in Yugoslavia" and "Made in Romania". I guess it is one of the more common misattribution.
Don't get me wrong, I think they look great and I have bought at least half a dozen of them in the last few years. People love them so they make great affordable vintage gifts.
The chairs are interesting. Looks like an afromosia or teak legs/base in the Danish/Norwegian style, but then birch/maple bent wood back rest supports in the Artek/Thonet-style. I have not seen this type of combination before, and am almost wondering if the back is original? It probably is, but the combination is certainly not very common, in my experience.
