@kaimaitai. I found a sideboard that has the same design. The seller mentions that it is in the "style" of Antoine Philippon and Jacqueline le Coq. No labels or stamps shown. If you search for these two designers there are no similar designs.
This sideboard is for sale in Belgium.

@kaimaitai Maybe you saw this one too; it appears to be same design with a different base. It's a photo saved from an old Ebay listing in the Netherlands. The person who saved it on Pinterest just had a note saying "Spaceboard on chrome".
@wesemael. I searched Luigi Colani earlier today because the sideboard I posted also mentioned in the style of L. Colani.
All I found was cars, chairs, motorbikes etc; so I gave up looking any further. 🙄
Well done finding that link. His design has the same veneer pattern as @kaimaitai's cabinet.

Just did a quick google and he really was a great designer and won many awards.

Thanks @wesemael . I was not familiar with Colani, so just looked at some of his work online. The car bodies he designed are pretty amazing.
@mark737 i like colani his design have a lot of warmth and humor like pierre paulin and that is a rare qualty in furniture design a lot is stark/serious
@wesemael As a designer of everything from caskets to airplanes, it's impossible not to admire his talent and ambition, and I too appreciate the irreverence he brought to his furniture. It looks like his furniture designs were produced by a number of different companies, mostly German. These included Lusch, BASF, Heinz Essman, and the Orbis collection here by COR.
Nice little video here from 2011 that gives a glimpse into his personality.
