Hi All,

I am posting this ID here for the reason that I have rarely seen a sideboard with this kind of quality (see drawer details).

It's listed for almost 2K $ but the seller could not find any mark. I usually see sideboards of low quality, with compressed wood and laminated teak, so was nice for once to see advertised something more interesting. At least to my unexperienced eyes 🙂

The sideboard does look like a more expensive piece than most, but probably from the mid to late 1960s, which sort of limits it in some ways. The table looks like an overwrought late 1950s to early 1960s generic design.

@herringbone: thank you, I did not know there was one advertised here too. Also did not know it had double sided drawers. I guess one would need to put it in the middle of a room, maybe in between two couches for fully exploiting its design. Quality does look good though.

@leif: thank you for your help! I agree that the details of the sideboard speak for a more expensive item than everage, including the back flip on top, probably to avoid that objects would fall on the back of the sideboard. As you say, it's probably from a time where the market was overloaded with these kind of sideboards and therefore its attribution might be very difficult. In any way too big/expensive for me.

All the best

Ernest.
