Many thanks for your help!

@thomaslitt. As you have only posted one photo, the following images are only suggestions based on similarities but there are also differences, in particular the Poul Volther one; leg shape. depth of sides on table top...

Image 1:- is allegedly a rare vintage late 50's "Aarup" table' from Ikea.

Image 2:- from the Danish furniture index. Link attached; A Poul Volther for Frem Rojle coffee table.

Hi, many thanks, the examples are indeed very similar, except for a few small details. But I know it's the details that matter. 🙄

Anyway, many thanks!

@mark737. Saw that too. Judging by the pictured sofas & chairs it would appear that Ikea were very good at producing furniture that was "in the style of" well known designer furniture of that era. And from time to time they had various well known designers work with them. Long before the flatpack stuff that requires a degree in engineering to put together.

It looks to me like the Volther/Frem table, but with a cane instead of teak lower shelf (which strikes me as a reasonable optional version of the table).  Aside from that what difference is there?

The apron of the table is irritating.
