Herman Miller Table?  

Base is vaguely reminiscent of the Nelson "lazy susan" dining table for HM, but not quite.

Got pics of the label and/or underside of the top?

I suppose it could be an HM product that I'm unfamiliar with. Not Eames for sure. It certainly appears that the top has been married only to that base and for some time. Wenge veneer seems rare for HM, but not impossible. Perhaps inquire of them directly?

Learned it was meant to be a coffee table, whomever must have switched it out with a local made stand but yes, Eames.

Stranger things do come up, but, if HM says it's theirs... wenge veneer top would be very unusual - almost certainly special order - and it's odd that it shows no evidence of having been mounted on another base. Too bad about condition.

Congrats on your find. All that's needed now is an appropriate base and you've got yourself an authentic Herman Miller Eames table!
