Hi,
I bought this chair from a secondhand store last week and I'm looking to check its authenticity. I emailed Herman Miller directly and got the following response:
"Thank you for forwarding the pictures to me.
Based on the photos and the product label, the chair looks like a Herman Miller Eames Aluminum Group Executive Chair with a manual seat-height adjustment. I am unable to identify the color of the material however, the product appears to be authentic.
I hope this helps!"
Let me know what you guys think, your assistance is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Herman Miller says it appears to be authentic---are you looking for someone here to confirm that? Usually the word of the manufacturer is considered final here.
I don't know a whole lot about these chairs but I have seen some knockoffs in person. Better photos would help--get the whole chair in the frame and have your camera at the same level as about midpoint on the chair, not pointing down at it. If you can't back away far enough from the chair to get the entire chair in the shot, move the chair to a better area.
Check the dimensions against those given on the Herman Miller site (assuming they have them---if not, look at DWR or other certified dealers). Knockoffs are usually off on the dimensions. But again, if Herman Miller says it's legit...
